Sawyer is TWO!!!

I can't believe my little man is two already!! Where have the past two years gone?  He is so smart and getting more so by the day!  He knows his alphabet, can recognize the letters and most of their sounds (seriously, he only messes up on a few).  He can count to twenty and we have got him working on the next ten!  He loves to sing and some of his favorite songs are Twinkle Twinkle, You Are My Sunshine, I Am A Child Of God, and his new favorite is Little Bunny Foo Foo.  We sing these songs every night and he sings along with us.  He has the sweetest voice and I could cry every time I hear him ask for Child of God, let alone sing it.  He is such a funny kid and is constantly making us laugh.  He is a little parrot and will repeat anything you say so you have to be careful what you say around him.  A few weeks ago we caught him talking to himself saying, "Shit, shit, no say shoot".  We couldn't help but laugh!
He talks so well and while it makes me sad he is growing up so fast, I can't help but enjoy our little conversations.  Sometimes we'll be sitting at the kitchen table, coloring, playing with Play Doh or getting ready to eat and he'll lean down on his elbows look at me and say "So what do you think?" Lately he's been starting to talk to Cooper more.  He'll say "Coopah watch this" or "I'm going to show Coopah how to do it".  He still likes to try to hit, shove, kick, or smash Cooper so we have to keep a close eye on him.
His being able to talk also helps when we are trying to feed him.  He'll tell us what he wants to eat so we can usually avoid a tantrum because he doesn't like what we put in front of him.  We still have to deal with the tantrums occasionally when we try to get him to eat something healthy or what we are eating so we don't have to make him a separate meal.
He loves to draw, color and paint.  He will sit down with a pen and draw circles and with each circle he'll pretend he's spelling his name, "S", "A", "W", "Y", "E", "R", then he'll proudly yell, "Sawyer!" It blows me away that at his age he can spell his name.  He'll be writing it before we know it!
He loves to have someone draw with him and he'll make you draw smiley face after smiley face because those are his favorite.

At his two year check up he weighed 27 pounds and was 36.5 inches tall.  He is still very tall and skinny.  He's wearing mostly 2T clothes but I have some 3T that I put him in. They are a little big but they work.
His favorite foods are chicken nuggets, french fries, spaghetti, suckers, and popsicles.  I know, healthy right? How do you make a two year old eat healthy??

Sawyer is an amazing kid and we can't get enough.  He's a great big brother when he wants to be, holding Coop's bottle for him in the car and making him laugh.  Cooper adores him just like everyone else.  I am so very proud Sawyer is my son and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for letting me be the mom of such amazing children.
