Need advice

First of all I wanted to report on our Vegas weekend! We had a great time... we ate delicious food and spent some good quality time together. We left Cedar around 3:30 after a quick stop at Walgreens for some last minute make-up items I needed. We missed most of the traffic coming into Vegas and after waiting in line for about 20 minutes, checked into our room at the T.I. (Treasure Island). We were hoping for an upgrade, but it was a busy weekend and I know we can't get that lucky every time. Our room was small but it served its purpose and the bed was so soft!

We changed and headed over to Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace to eat dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I love that place soo much! I had Chicken Marsala and finished up with a slice of White Chocolate, Caramel and Macadamia Nut cheesecake... it is to DIE for! So yummy! We were both tired after dinner so we headed back to the room and rented a movie, Role Models. It was hilarious but the language was terrible.

The next day we hung out in the room until lunch time and then met up with a friend of mine for lunch at Cozymels, a delicious Mexican restaurant. After eating some delicious chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce we went back to the hotel to nap. The nap was great!! I love afternoon naps and wish I could have one every day! So after the nap I got ready for dinner and our show. We ate dinner at the Italian place in the casino and then stood in line for the show. If any of you have seen Mystere then you know what I mean when I say... "What?" It was confusing but really cool. I couldn't really figure out a story line other than the whole Circus theme of Cirque de Soleil but I was thinking it may have something to do with a child's dream. There was humor and some very impressive acrobatics. I would recommend it to anyone. I was still awake and ready for more after the show so I talked Skeet into taking me to the dance club. The club was small but there was good music so we stayed until we were forced out by the crowd. There wasn't any room to stand, let alone dance.

All in all I would say that the vacation was a success. I did get some extra sleep and was able to experience something new, which I love doing! I am thinking my next show will be either "Phantom" or "O". I may have to see them all now, I just wish they weren't so pricey. We got a great deal with this one. If we bought 2 show tickets we got our room free for one night. I couldn't pass that up!

Now back to business. I am struggling with a decision. I am thinking about using a blog to journal my FET journey. FETs are not even close to being as extensive and invasive as a fresh IVF cycle but I thought that it may give some people an idea of what is all involved in the process. I wish I would have thought of this with my first IVF cycle but I didn't even know what a blog was at that point. So I am thinking a day by day (or every other day) account of what I am doing to prepare for the FET. Is this a dumb idea? My second question is... should I start another blog and leave this one devoted to my thoughts and feelings about Avery. Another option would be to change the title of this blog and have a combination of both feelings about Avery and our journey with Infertility. So I am asking the readers (if there are any left out there) what should I do?

As for an update on the FET... I was supposed to get some CD3 (cycle day 3) blood work done and start a form of birth control to prepare my body for the medications I will need to start next month. So I waited for my monthly visitor and all I got was some light spotting. Now, a week later, I have to get blood drawn to find out what is going on. They will do a blood pregnancy test and check my estrogen and progesterone levels to try to find out how badly my body is screwed up this time. I am very confident that the pregnancy test will come back negative so that is not really an issue but I would like to know what is going on so I can begin preparations for the FET. I have a feeling this won't be the first brick wall we hit with this procedure.

Off to get my blood taken...

You don't know me but I've been following your blog for a while now. I'm not even sure how I found it. I think it's a great idea to add a daily(or however often) journal entry for your FET cycle. We'd all love to stay up to date on what's going on with that. And I'd think it was easier for both you and your faithful readers to stay up to date with one blog instead of 2. I would think it would be simpler for you because much of the stuff you'd write about would end up being duplicated if you did 2 blogs. Your story about sweet Avery and your current infertility struggle are all part of you and that's what we love to hear about and pray about. Whatever you decide to do, we'll love it!

As a women who will be going through an FET after a loss this year, I would LOVE to follow someone who has gone through the same thing. I blogged through my IVF and it was not only therapeutic to me but it did help a few other followers.

*hugs*

So glad you guys had a great mini-vacation! Sounds like you guys totally needed it!!

As for the FET blog...I'm interested in following along and praying for you! I don't have any advice about whether to do it on this blog or a different one- as you can see, I haven't updated my blog in a while because I don't know what to write there any more, as if it would be wrong to write about something other than Faith there.

Sounds like your vacation went well, and you had a great time! My favorite place to eat at is the Cheesecake Factory too...I always get the Chicken Madiera and the Banana Cream Cheesecake...oh, I'm hungry just thinking about it :)
As for the blogs, yes...I would love to hear more about your FET journey. It's not something I've ever gone through, but being able to read about it would help me understand a little more about your situation and some of the hurdles you face that are different from ours.
I also think that perhaps doing a seprate blog for Avery is totally up to you. It has been something I have really enjoyed because it's a place where people who "really want to know" can go to find out more about the thoughts and feelings that surround him. I truly started it as a journal of the journey it's taken us on. My friend told me that blogs can printed off into a hard-bound book once a year...after that I was sold because I am terrible at keeping a hand written journal.
That way, I use our family blog to update people on what's happening in life...which also includes Branson often...things we do at his grave, traditions we start on holidays, some of our favorite pictures...ect.
When it comes down to it, I think you should do what works best for you. The people that love and care for you (like me) will follow one...or two...or three blogs :)
Sending lots of love and hugs your way.

I'm so glad to hear you and Skeet had a nice mini-vacation in Vegas.

I'm so excited to hear that your FET is coming up. I will totally be here to cheer you on every step of the way. I think it's a great idea to journalize your FET journey using this same blog.

My blog is kind of a mix between my grieving the loss of the triplets and my new pregnancy journey.

At any rate, whatever you decide, please keep me posted. I feel like we have so much in common and nothing would make me more happier than to hear that you had a successful FET. How many frozen embryo's do you have left? I will be thinking of you in the coming months and praying for your BFP!!!

Oh man, I'm so jealous that you went to Vegas and the Cheesecake Factory without us! Reading about the trip brought back all the fun of meeting you!

As for the blog issue, I think this is all part of one long journey and Avery and the FET cycle are all part of that. She is what pushes you forward each day to keep going so I say keep it all as one, but obviously, up to you sweetie.

Anyway, sorry we haven't been in touch. Still thinking of you all the time tho.

Love Clare xx

I would love to hear about your FET. Because, first of all, I honestly have no idea what it is. And secondly, I have grown to just adore you and would like to be there for support. As far as combining, do what is easiest for you. I know I started mine about Colleen and my journey to where I am now, but as you know, it's about lots of other things as well. Glad you had fun in Vegas!

It is totally up to you how you want to run your blogs. I am sending positive vibes your way for a successful FET cycle. I think a new blog for that would make sense, but it also makes sense for you to post that information here because you are trying for Avery's sibling. The only thing I think I wouldn't do is change the title of this blog, because you have done such a great job honoring Avery with it. The only reason I say that is because I am trying to answer a similar question for myself. Good luck and I will read and support you no matter what you decide!

hey sweetie! Well I think you should definitly post everything about your journey and just keep the one site. I dont think your showing Avery any less honor to include everything about your life in your blog. She is part of you now and so is your upcoming journey so just keep doing what your doing. Love you and we cant wait to see you at the end of this month!

I would stay with this blog, unless it makes you uncomfortable to do so, or if the FET blog is only going to be about the physical experience of FET. So much of your emotional reaction will be so tied to Avery, that I think it makes sense to keep posting. Your story is still her story.

Hi! We have been following your blog and first would like to send best wishes with the FET. I really do not think it would take away from beautiful Avery if you posted on here. We are praying for FET success for you. Also, so jealous about Vegas but sounds like it was a pleasant much needed trip for you. Highly recommend the Phantom show for next time... remarkable!!!! Good luck!

I love reading it all on one blog. Your readers can read all about your life journey. I don't think it detracts from Avery at all. Also, I agree that if you did two blogs, you'd end up posting things on both blogs, which could be time consuming. I'll follow you no matter if you do one or two. :)I'm glad you guys got to have a fun weekend getaway!

For sure blog about it. And I think one blog is enough. This is your family blog and both Avery and your next baby are a part of your family. I am excited for you to start the process.
Love ya!!!

Candi I love reading what you write, so I think it's a great idea to either start another blog or add your FET stuff onto this one!
