It's Happening!

Today is the big day and I have to admit I am really nervous.  I have had a couple of laparoscopic surgeries before but never this many incisions.  I think I can handle the pain... my worries are more about whether or not I will feel better after my gallbladder is out.  I hope that I can still eat like a normal person after it is out.  I look forward to being able to have some yummy buttered popcorn at the movie and not suffer for hours afterward.  I am also worried that I am putting too much hope into the diathermy.  I want so badly for it to make some kind of difference and I can't wait to start seeing the results.  What if this could be it??  Wouldn't that be so amazing?  And if it works for me that means it could work for someone else and that would be so great!!
I don't have to be to the hospital until 11:15 and I haven't eaten since 8 last night so I am a little hungry and the nerves aren't helping that.  I guess I should go shower and try to keep my mind off of what could go wrong!!  Typical me!  Wish me luck!

Good luck today! Use some heat packs for the shoulder pain afterwards. I hate that laparascopy does that- seriously the weirdest feeling ever, but it seems like heating pads helped at least dull the nerve a little. Wishing you a speedy recovery! I hope and pray for you that the diathermy works! And on a sidenote: I love that my Dr. would always schedule my surgeries for first thing in the morning, because I didn't have to have anxiety all day! :) My first laparascopy, I had to wait until 2:00 p.m.- Torture!

Dear Candice, I don't know if you remember me from High school. I came across your name from friends on face book. I read a your story on your blog and and cryed like baby while listening to Avery's letter. I'm so sorry that you have had to go through those things. I wish you the best of luck on your surgery and pray that all goes well with you.

Good luck and I hope you feel better and get back to normal soon. I had my gall bladder out 25 years ago and it didn't affect what I could or could not eat, so hopefully it won't for you either.

My word verification is abled - I hope this ables you to have all you wish for. :0)

I just came over to check on you because it's been a while. It looks like you had this done about three days ago so I hope all is well. Take care! Hoping to hear good news soon :)
